MS MARY ANNE NOONE Mary Anne Noone is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law and Legal Studies at La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia. She co-ordinates the clinical legal education programs within the School. Her research interests are access to justice, the Australian legal aid system and community legal centres, legal professional responsibility and clinical legal education. Mary Anne has 20 years experience at both a practical and policy level in the delivery of legal services to the poor. She is currently a Director of Victoria Legal Aid; management committee member of the West Heidelberg Community Legal Service; and part-time member of Social Security Appeals Tribunal. She was a member of the National Legal Aid Advisory Committee and worked on the Committee's review of legal aid, Legal Aid for the Australian Community (July 1990). She represented, nationally, community legal centres between 1987 and 1990. Prior to and during this time she worked as a community lawyer at Springvale Legal Service and West Heidelberg Community Legal Service. |
