ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR JEFF GIDDINGS

Associate Professor Jeff Giddings is the Director of Clinical Legal Education at the Law School, Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. In 1999, he received both the Australian Award for University Teaching in Law and Legal Studies and the Griffith Award for Excellence in Teaching. Jeff has practiced as a solicitor in community legal centres in Victoria and Queensland since 1985.

Jeff edited the book 'Legal Aid in Victoria: At the Crossroads Once Again' published in 1998 by Fitzroy Legal Service Press, Melbourne. He wrote 4 and co-wrote a further 3 of the 11 chapters for that book. He has also been involved in Legal Aid policy work through serving 2 terms as a Commissioner of the Legal Aid Commission of Victoria and a range of activities of the Federation of Community Legal Centres (Victoria) and the National Association of Community Legal Centres.
