STEPHEN BOURKE

Stephen Bourke is the head of the Family Law and Legal Assistance Division in the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department. In this role he is responsible for advice to Government in both the family law program and also the Commonwealth legal aid program.

Stephen was recently head of the taskforce on the Government's superannuation reforms when the Government's position paper on superannuation was released (May 1998). He was formerly principal solicitor in family law and head of the Legal Aid Branch in the Department. Stephen publishes regularly on family law and is a member of the Family Law Council, having been first appointed in 1997.
